Under the new regulations, fitness examinations have remained mandatory only for specific high-risk job positions, such as those involving hazardous work environments, exposure to noise, or radiation. Employers are still entitled to conduct medical examinations at their own discretion; however, they must ensure an appropriate legal basis for doing so.
